Review of question paper of SFM - May 2017
A lot of students have been claiming that the question paper of May 2017 for SFM was a tricky one. I tend to disagree as almost all the questions given were from Practice Manual and Module. Further the questions were asked from a wide range of topics rather than focussing on a few topics. It was quite surprising to see 2 questions from Money markets. The question paper has not succeeded in testing the conceptual knowledge of the student.
It is high time that the Institute starts the practice of asking new and innovative question which will test the conceptual clarity of the students rather than setting a paper doing a copy paste job.

Once again a very easy paper and almost all the questions are from practice manual. While students will be happy with the paper, it once again has nothing to test the conceptual knowledge of the student
