Ahem....

My parents tend to give a shudder when some one mentions the year 1968 and kind of go into a stupor when someone utters 12th April. So I guess that must have been the day when nature decided to play a cruel joke on my parents by giving them - MEH!.

 

18 years of bumming around in Kolkata and zombying my way through St. Lawrence School, I somehow stumbled my way into the Institution called St.Xaviers College, Kolkata and finished my graduation. Life was sailing smoothly till one of my well wishing friend in all his good intentions pushed me into enrolling into Chartered Accountancy course.Till date I am not sure as to his grievance with  me that made him do it. I will surely ask him the day I meet him someday in the future, and once an answer has been extracted from him - I plan to knock him out cold. I need my revenge

 

For those of you who are unaware of it, CA is a ridiculously tough course, and possibly is the reason for the invention of the word Herculean. Anyways to cut a long story short, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and immediately stepped into the glorious world of finance. Did I say glorious ? well it did appear that from the outside.

 

For the next 2 decades I traveled the convuluted world of Investment banking, derivatives, foreign exchange, bonds - learnt new terms like scam,frauds, ponzi ... aaaah life was so good. Then something happened - I got this insane urge that i need to do something different and since god had not been generous enough to bestow me with a voice like Kishore kumar or a artistic ability like Pablo Picasso I was limited by choice.

 

So I became a teacher teaching CA Final Students......
